Emily Vallee is a visual artist and educator living and working in Saratoga Springs, NY.
Influenced by her upbringing in Northern Vermont, her photographic work seeks to explore the relationship of humankind and the natural world and to challenge notions of anthropocentrism.
Vallee holds an MFA from the Massachusetts College of Art & Design and a BFA from the University of Vermont.
Select exhibitions of her work have been held at Aviary Gallery, The Vermont Center for Photography, Saratoga Arts Center Gallery and The Conservation Center in Champ-Pittet, Switzerland. Additionally she has been featured in various publications, such as, Lenscratch, aint – bad, Lamono Magazine, Booooooom, Phases Magazine, Muybridge’s Horse and Oranbeg Press’ As of Late zine series. She has exhibited her artist books at the Boston Art Book Fair, the Philadelphia Art Book Fair and the Yale Odds & Ends Art Book Fair.
Vallee is currently a Visiting Lecturer of Photography at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY.
